About the Event
Join Seema Agarwal, daughter of Harish Johari, and our dear friend from India for an evening of diving deep into Bhakti and The Bhagavad Gita.
The Bhagavad Gita, or “Song of the Lord”, is an ancient Sanskrit text that contains some of the most powerful teachings in the practice of yoga. It is a spiritual text that offers timeless teachings and advice on what is our true nature and purpose in life. The Bhagavad Gita’s purpose is not to give a “how-to” guide on yoga poses or breathing, but to explain higher concepts like the nature of human existence, how to live a meaningful life, the importance of spiritual seeking, and the many paths of knowledge.
We will be transported to the heart of India, in Seema's home in Haridwar. We will learn the meaning of the stories in The Bhagavad Gita. Every morning that I lived at Seema's home I would bring a notebook to breakfast. Her wisdom is surreal and powerful. Don't miss this opportunity to go to India in your own home.
